Company contracts are with weekly salary for 22-24 work weeks and pointe shoe reimbursement for women

Avant Chamber Ballet is looking for young dancers to perform in the professional production of Sleeping Beauty: Aurora’s Wedding - part of “Masterworks” at Moody Performance Hall on May 9-10 2025

Avant Chamber Ballet Studio, 2408 Farrington St, Dallas
Ages 8-12| 12-1PM
Ages 12 and up 1:15-2:45-PM
Registration online | Check-in 15 min before dancer’s group
All ages and genders are invited. Roles include Lilac Attendants, Red Riding Hood, Forest Fairies, Aurora’s Pages
Audition fee is $20. Production participation fee: $100.
Rehearsals will be held on Sundays between 12-5pm at Avant Chamber Ballet
Excused absences from rehearsals are allowed but must be approved by director
All stage rehearsals and performances are mandatory. Fees are non-refundable.
Rehearsals Dates:
April 6, 13, 27, May 4 - in studio (no rehearsal April 20th for Easter)
May 7- 8 - evening rehearsals on stage
May 9 - 7:30pm performance
May 10 - 7:30pm performance
The Sunday schedule is dependent on casting. Dancer’s rehearsals will be between 12-5pm but only for 1-2 hours. Casting emails will go out by Sunday March 30th. If you have not heard from us by then, check you spam email folder, then follow up with us by emailing info@avantchamberballet.org
Dancers are responsible for supplying their own shoes, tights and in some cases nude leotards. Costume information will be sent with casting.
Parent volunteers will be needed for chaperones and costumes. Information for signing up will be emailed.

Safety and Health Policy
Company policy: It is the policy of Avant Chamber Ballet (ACB) to ensure a safe, healthy workplace for all its employees. Injury and illness losses from incidents are costly and preventable. ACB will employ an effective accident and illness prevention program that involves all its employees, board members, and artists in the effort to eliminate workplace hazards.
Management: Management and the board of directors are accountable for preventing workplace incidents, injuries and illnesses. Management will provide top-level support of safety program initiatives. Management will consider all employee and artist suggestions for achieving a safer, healthier workplace. Management also will keep informed about workplace safety and health hazards, and it will regularly review the company safety and health program.
Employees and Artists: All employees and artists are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities, as appropriate, including the following: reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents immediately to management or the board of directors; wearing required personal protective equipment as needed; and participating in and supporting safe workplace activities.
